Tosin Falayi

Tosin is a doctoral student in the Department of Physiology at SIU School of Medicine, Carbondale. As a research assistant in a biomedical laboratory, she spends her days peering into microscopes, analyzing DNA, and conducting experiments to understand the genetic mechanisms underlying neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and intellectual disabilities.

Beyond the lab, in Tosin’s three years of industry experience, she has leveraged her analytical and critical thinking abilities to aid organizational decision-making in various sectors, including health, finance, education, oil & gas, and agriculture.
